These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the BakeCost: Cake
Pricing & Profit mobile application (com.kymbria.bakecost), the
BakeCost website, and the BakeCost Pro subscription (together, the “Service”)
operated by Kymbria (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the Service you agree to
these Terms.
1. License & acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use BakeCost for your personal or business baking activities. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer or misrepresent the Service, and you may not present BakeCost output as certified financial, legal or regulatory advice.
2. Pricing calculations are estimates
Recipe costs, unit conversions (including density-based weight-to-volume conversions), suggested prices and profit figures are estimates provided for guidance only. Densities vary by brand and method, prices change, and ovens differ. You remain solely responsible for the prices you charge, the accuracy of the ingredient costs you enter, and any quotes you issue.
3. Your data & offline storage
BakeCost stores your recipes, pantry and settings on your device. You are responsible for backing up your device; uninstalling the app or losing the device may result in permanent loss of that data, which we cannot recover. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Subscriptions & billing
- BakeCost Pro Monthly — $1.99 per month.
- BakeCost Pro Annual — $12.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers (equivalent to $1.08/month, saving 45% versus monthly).
- BakeCost Pro Lifetime — $29.99 one-time.
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play, renew automatically until cancelled, and are governed by the Google Play Terms of Service. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play account settings at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Free trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Prices are in US dollars and may change with notice; continued use after a change means acceptance.
5. Advertising
The free tier displays third-party advertisements (Google AdMob). Upgrading to BakeCost Pro removes all advertising. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads.
6. Availability & changes
The Service is provided “as is” and we may add, modify or discontinue features at any time. Because the app is offline-first, core costing features keep working even if our servers are unavailable.
7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 10.00. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data or business decisions based on the app’s estimates.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access for misuse of the Service (for example, automated scraping or attempts to compromise our systems).
9. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Questions? Use the contact form — we read everything.
